Postnatal Support
Having someone there in those first few days and weeks at home with your baby can be invaluable in helping ease the workload, catch up on rest, support family connection, build your confidence and adjust to your new roles.
Postnatal Support
As a postnatal doula, it is my goal to support your transition back home after the birth of your baby, to help you adjust to your new roles and the changes and challenges that can arise at this time. I help to ease the workload so you can catch up on sleep and rest, and your new family can bond and thrive together. I offer guidance, reassurance and encouragement for you to follow your own instincts rather than using overly prescriptive approaches.
At the beginning of our first session, we will spend time together talking and establishing what your priorities are, so that the visits to follow can be flexible, responsive to your needs and support you in whatever way you feel will benefit you the most.
My Postnatal support may include:
- Birth debriefing
- Emotional wellbeing and support
- Feeding support
- Basic newborn care – bathing, settling, understanding your baby’s cues
- Baby massage
- Nourishing foot baths and light relaxing massage for you
- Caring for your baby while you catch up on sleep or have a relaxing bath/shower
- Light domestic tasks – laundry, dishes, tidying and basic meal preparation
- Help with older children
- Referrrals and links to other services/practitioners for you and your baby where appropriate
- Overnight support available
Postnatal Doula services are flexible and can be structured according to your needs. Available as individual bookings or pre-purchased ‘bundles’ of hours and used as needed once your baby has arrived. They can also be added on to any of the birth packages for additional support, and a 10% discount.
Doula support is a great idea for family and friends looking to gift you something to celebrate the birth of your baby and family unit that will really support your journey.

“Stephanie is a very special person – she is super lovely, kind, thoughtful, experienced and professional. She put us both at ease immediately and we felt so relaxed with her. We feel very lucky to have had her by our side during such an important time.”
“A ‘newborn mother’ is a recently born mother whose strength is asking for support. She acknowledges that the birth of a mother is even more intense than childbirth, and that she is as sensitive and vulnerable as her baby. Her heart is wide open and her needs are high. As she nourishes herself, she nourishes her children.”
